Writers
It has been set up to free writers from hagglers, inappropriate messages and online trolls.
With our flexible privacy settings, you are in control of your online identity and can connect a variety of social media accounts to your profile. Along with the ability to specialize in different topics, you are able to set your own prices and writing pace.
Our payment system is designed to protect both writers and clients from fraudulent transactions, so you can work with confidence knowing you will always be paid, in full, for the work you do. All you need to get started is an email address and a PayPal account.
Step 1 - Creating a Profile
Sign up with Custom Erotica using an email address and a PayPal account. Follow the instructions to set up your profile and preferences. From this point onwards you will be able to receive requests. These can be accepted or rejected.
Step 2 - Start Writing
Once you have accepted a request you will be prompted to produce a pre-purchase sample. This consists of the first 10% of a request and will be sent to your client as a sample of your work. (For more information on this, visit the Writers FAQ section). Once this has been completed we will secure payment from the client and you will be prompted to complete the request in full. Prices and Writing Pace is determined by you in your profile settings.
Step 3 - Get Paid
There is a small window (approximately 12 hours) after an order is completed before you will be paid. This is to allow for refund disputes. After this period has passed you will be paid via PayPal. The rate of commission taken from each order depends on the value of the order. See below for details.
Value of Request (£) | Commission Rates (%) |
---|---|
Under £100 | 12% |
Between £101 - £999 | 10.5% |
Over £1000 | 8.5% |
Q: What is a pre-purchase sample?
A: A pre-purchase sample is the first 10% of a request. For example, if your request asks you for 3000 words, your pre-purchase sample will be the first 300 words of the text.Q: Why do I have to give a pre-purchase sample?
A: The use of 'pre-purchase samples' is a benefit to our writers as well as their readers. Sharing the first 10% of a request, upfront & free of charge, allows your clients to get a taste of your talent without the risk of purchasing blindly. It also ensures that you will be paid for the work that you do as our writers are not obligated to complete a request until your client has paid.Q: When will I get my payment?
A: You will receive your payment twelve hours after your client receives a completed request. If the manuscript is not completed within the deadlines you have set for yourself or is of substandard quality, your client has the right to complain. Complaints will be investigated and serious or repeated violations could result in the termination of your account.Q: Why am I being charged commission?
A: Setting up and maintaining Custom Erotica is neither free nor easy. To keep Custom Erotica running, improving, and evolving as a service, we require funding. The biggest plus for our writers and our readers is that we aren’t funded by advertising, so no one is sharing your data, limiting how we grow, or trying to pair you up with hot singles in your area.Q: Why can't I accept more than one request at a time?
A: The experiences of both writers and readers are equally important. No writer wants to be overwhelmed and no reader wants to be forgotten for a higher paying request. You can, however, queue up to five requests.Q: Can I publish these stories elsewhere?
A: See our terms and conditions page for the details. To answer briefly; In proceeding with a transaction you give your reader exclusive viewing rights for three years. This means you retain ownership of the story but you cannot resell, or publish it anywhere else for three years. At no point do your readers have the right to copy, resell or distribute your story.Readers
With an enormous pool of talent to choose from, you can purchase the erotica of your dreams discreetly and securely. Support your favorite content creator by purchasing a piece of Custom Erotica for yourself, or that special someone.
Step 1 - Making a Request
Choose your writer by browsing the authors' page or by using the search feature. To make a request, fill in the request form and we'll send it off for you. This request will either be accepted, placed in a queue, or rejected. We will inform you of the outcome via the email address you provide to us.
Step 2 - Payment
You will not be prompted for payment until you have received your pre-purchase sample. This consists of the first 10% of your request and is always sent upfront, free of charge. Once you have viewed the sample you will be directed to make a payment via PayPal. You are under no obligation to purchase the full piece but your request will not be completed until payment is made. The completed document will be sent to the email address specified in the request form.
Step 3 - Leave a Review
Reviews benefit the entire community so take the extra step of leaving some feedback for your chosen writer. It helps them to grow as creators whilst also helping other readers in their own searches.
Q: What happens if I find a spelling mistake within my order?
A: Typos can happen, even for traditional publishing houses. You can always highlight slight errors in a review of your selected writer, however, if the manuscript you receive is illegible due to a high number of errors, please contact our customer care team and we will investigate the matter. Depending on the frequency and severity of these errors a partial or full refund may be applicable.Q: How and when do I pay for my request?
A: Payments are taken via PayPal, but you wont need to pay anything until you’ve received your free pre-purchase sample. A pre-purchase sample contains the first 10% of your request. If you like what you’ve read, you can then pay to access the full manuscript.Q: Why is it not possible to contact a writer directly on this website?
A: Some writers choose to set strict boundaries between themselves and their work. It is their right to do so and Custom Erotica provides a safe space for this. If a writer welcomes contact, their profile will contain links to their social media accounts where you will be able to message them.Q: How do I request something that is not listed?
A: If you discover that a particular niche has been left out please let us know immediately so we can change that. In the meantime, you can add the details to the main text box. There are, however, certain topics that have been left out on purpose. Pedophilia, Necrophilia, and Bestiality are not kinks, they are crimes that will not be endorsed or encouraged by Custom Erotica.Q: Non-consent/Reluctance is not listed on your request form, why?
A: Non-consent is rape. Rape is a crime that will not be enocuraged or endorsed by Custom Erotica. Pseduo-non-consent aka Rape Roleplay is an availble option and writers can choose whether they accept these types of request.Q: I don’t want any swearing in my story, can I ask for that?
A: Of course. There is an option in our request form to list any words that you do not want to see. You can choose to object to anything from offensive language to generally unpleasant vocabulary, eg Moist.Q: What rights do I have to these stories?
A: For full details see our terms and conditions page. In short; you have the right to the exclusive viewing of your story for three years. This means that although your selected writer retains full ownership of the story, they cannot resell or publish it anywhere else for a minimum of three years. At no point do you have the right to copy, distribute or resell a story yourself.Q: How should I fill in the Request Form?
A. Requests are anonymous, so do not be shy. If a detail is important to you, put it in the Request Form. Choosing characteristics such as eye color, hair color, height, build, clothing, and location are just as important to the personalization of the request as the list of sex acts you'd like to happen within the story. Of course, it is also perfectly acceptable to give the writer a few key details and then allow them the freedom to be creative. Make sure to list any words, scenarios, or acts you would like to be avoided. Finally, be reasonable; a writer cannot be expected to fit a long and detailed story into a small-sized request. If your question has not been answered here, you can contact us via eroticacustomised@gmail.com
